Jeffco Remote Learning Program Counseling Mission and Vision Statement
Vision Statement
The Jeffco Remote Counseling team is focused on delivering an inclusive, equitable, and data-driven, comprehensive school counseling program for all students, which aligns with the American School Counselors Association. The team’s focus will be on developing students as lifelong learners, proactive members of their society and promoters of social responsibility. Our counseling program will elevate student academic success, social-emotional development, and post-secondary goal setting.
Mission Statement
The Jeffco Remote (JRLP) Counseling program will provide universal, evidence-based support and inclusive and equitable policies and procedures to all students. The utilization of qualitative and quantitative data while accessing all stakeholder combined resources, will provide integral support in each students’ academic, social-emotional and behavioral development. As key stakeholders we work collaboratively to provide a safe and supportive environment, academically, physically, and emotionally. Active leadership, advocacy, community partnerships, and equitable systemic change are the framework of the JRLP Counseling Program.

JRLP's Counseling Team Believes in Anti-Racism, Diversity, and Inclusion. We maintain:
- Systemic racism exists and advocate for social justice policies that support all students and families.
- Equity, diversity and inclusion is an ongoing learning process and we are committed to doing the work needed to consistently improve our understanding and advocacy.
- Supporting our community regardless of race, gender, orientation, national origin, disability, religion or age.
- All cultures add value to our school and community.
- Belonging begins with dignity.
- Education is the responsibility of all stakeholders (school, student, families, and our community).
- Every student is capable of learning when universal and targeted supports are in place.
- Strong relationships with all stakeholders elevate access and success for all students.
- All students have the right to an education that is challenging and supports post-secondary plans, regardless of path.
- Benevolence, empathy and kindness are the cornerstones of our practice.
“The ultimate measure of a person is not where they stand in moments of comfort and convenience, but where they stand at times of challenge and controversy.”
