JRLP Specialized Programming

The JRLP will provide specialized services to all students and continue to support the implementation of Individualized Career and Academic Plans (ICAP), Advanced Learning Plans (ALP) and Individualized Learning Plans (IEP). At this time we cannot guarantee any Center programming model for the Remote Learning option. These will be dependent on the number of students who might enroll in a Center model and in the resources available to support that model.

SPECIAL ED FAQ

When will we know exactly what specialized programming (GT, ESL, Etc.) will be provided in the remote learning program?

We are currently building the systems, courses, and staffing necessary to provide all students with a comprehensive, high quality, consistent, equitable remote learning environment. We will provide specialized services to all students and continue to support the implementation of Individualized Career and Academic Plans (ICAP), Advanced Learning Plans (ALP) and Individualized Learning Plans (IEP). At this time we cannot guarantee any Center programming model for the Remote Learning option. These will be dependent on the number of students who might enroll in a Center model and in the resources available to support that model. In the meantime, if your first priority is to enroll in the exact programming offered at your home school, we recommend that you enroll in person at your home school. If your first priority is being in a remote learning environment, then we recommend that you enroll in the remote learning program and begin working with us to meet your other priorities and needs.

What about GT specifically?
Will our Center Program spot be held? We will provide services to all Gifted & Talented (GT) students in the remote learning program and continue to support the implementation of the Advanced Learning Plans (ALPs) for all gifted learners. We will assign GT Resource Teacher (GT RT) support the remote learning program as we would any other school to facilitate GT identification, programming, ALP implementation, educator professional learning and parent / family support. At this time we cannot guarantee a GT Center programming model, with classes taught by GT-endorsed teachers, for the Remote Learning option. This will be dependent on the number of currently-enrolled GT Center students who choose the remote option and in the resources available to support that model. If the GT Center Remote Learning option is not available due to lack of sufficient enrollment, families who had selected that option in Enroll Jeffco would be able to choose the face-to-face option until August 31st and would not lose their current spot in the GT center school in which they are currently enrolled. If we are able to offer the GT Center Remote Learning option for the 2021-22 school year, families could either continue on in that remote learning option OR return to the in-person GT Center spot at their school for the 2022-23 school year.
